Exalt the Name of Jesus
December 28, 2021, I awoke at 4 am sick. I was sick as a dog. I heaved and vomited violently until there was nothing else left but stomach bile. I didn't know what was wrong; all I knew was that I was sick and needed God's help. I tried taking Alka-Seltzer and Immodium AD to no avail. I got no sleep whatsoever and was just a mess. At times I felt like I would die. I thought to myself, "If only I could get a little rest ", but rest was no where to be found.
I made so many trips back and forth to the bathroom that at one point, I considered just moving there permanently. I was extremely sick and I couldn't figure out why. What had I eaten that night before going to bed that made me so violently ill? I was clueless. I was too sick to get up, get dressed to make my way to a doctor or hospital, so I simply laid there.
One minute I was hot, the next cold. My hair was all over my head and it looked as if I had suffered a train wreck. I tried for several hours to find a position that I could rest in. Again, I found none. Just when I thought it might be over, I experienced another violent episode of vomiting. I managed to utter "O Lord, please help me."
At some point I turned on the television to Christian TV, but I was too sick to watch it. I felt if I could just listen to the word being preached, I'd be healed. I don't know when, but while listening to the word, I dozed off and managed to get a few hours of sleep. When I awoke, I heard music and singing. It was the most beautiful worship I've ever heard. It was pure worship. They were signing sweet love songs to Jesus. I listened intently as I laid still.
It was a choir of young people and they were worshiping the King of kings. They were so in love with Him and they profusely poured their love out on Him in worship. I caught hold of some of the words and I bravely began to sing along with them. It got down in my spirit and before I knew I was weeping and worshiping the Lord Jesus. I had forgotten all about myself or being sick. It was all about Him now.
I felt the presence of the Lord Jesus come into the room. He was hovering over me. I cried out to Him, "Lord I feel Your presence. I feel Your presence all over me." Jesus was ministering to me. He was touching me and healing me. The presence of the Lord was so strong in my room. All I could do was worship Him and weep. Then when they sang their last song, I rose from my bed and fell on my knees, saying, "Lord, I have get on my knees and worship You." I no longer cared about me or focused on my body. It was all about Jesus now and I was driven to worship Him.
After the choir finished, I got up and returned to bed. I laid back down and listened to the preaching that followed until I dozed off to sleep. I slept like a baby the entire night. When I arose the next morning, I was completely healed. All the symptoms of sickness were gone. Jesus came and healed me., as I worshiped Him.
Worship is our weapon during this season. When we exalt the name of Jesus, all sickness and disease must flee. The name of Jesus is highly exalted above cancer, COVID-19, diabetes, kidney failure, heart disease, lupus, blindness, and all other sickness. The name of Jesus is exalted above all powers, principalities, spiritual wickedness in high places, rulers of darkness, strongholds, situations and problems we could ever encounter. The name of Jesus is highly exalted because God has given Him a name that is above all names and at the name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous can run in and are saved. (Proverbs 18:10) There is power in the name of Jesus!!!
