Overcoming Rejection: Leah's Story
Many people are struggling with rejection. Students in school, adults, both male and female, Christians, wealthy and poor, educated, uneducated, orphans, divorcees, widows, pastors, preachers and prophets, CEOs, employees, business executives, doctors, lawyers, judges, pilots, missionaries, astronauts, teachers, musicians, rappers, children, farmers, artists, architects, engineers, ballerinas, actors, actresses, comedians, salesmen, producers, senators, congressman, politicians, police, authors, photographers, dentists, trainers, athletes, builders, morticians, models, technicians, donors, applicants, dancers, contestants, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, and countless people from all walks of life are fighting the same enemy known as rejection. People from every social class experience rejection. Rejection knows no boundaries.
Many people turn to alcohol and drugs and other illicit vices to help them cope with rejection. Successful people use their money to buy material possessions as a means of coping with rejection. Some people turn to work and busy-ness to cope with rejction. They make the mistake of thinking that if they bury themselves in their work they won't have time to think about being rejected, but they only become workaholics instead. Some resort to sex and try to fulfill their wildest sexual fantasies to overcome rejection, but this often has a very negative effect, adding insult to injury.
People spend billions of dollars on all sorts of things in their feeble attempts to overcome rejection but although those things may provide some temporary relief, they don't cure rejection. There is only cure for rejection. It is forgiveness.
The next few blogs is going to be about rejection and how to biblically overcome it. For those of you who are reading this blog and struggling with rejection, there is good news. "There is a balm in Gilead." We will look at rejction from a biblical perspective and find the one and only cure for it. At the end of this series, I pray that your eyes are opened and that you are finally delivered and set free from this vicious and painful demonic spirit called rejection. The purpose of this teaching is to expose the enemy and bring to the Light the root causes of rejection so that you may become free. "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." John 8:32.
