Sleeping With the Enemy, pt. 1

Sexual sin is very prevalent in the church today, but it ought not to be so. The enemy has launched an all out attack against God's people, using sex as one of his most powerful weapons. Satan knows that his time is very short, so he has turned up the dial, using sex to destroy the saints, by any means necessary. Many sexual sins such as fornication, pornography, homosexuality, and masturbation stem from sins of previous generations. Because these sins went unconfessed and unreptented of, they have been passed down family bloodlines as generational curses. This includes perversion and abortions.

While there are countless Christians, serving in the ministry many of them are hiding sexual secrets. Others are much bolder in their sinful ways. The bible says these things ought not to be. The Apostle Paul preached that sexual sin ought not once be named among Believers. Paul would surely be astounded if he were alive today.

Walls of Fire Deliverance Ministry, Int'l. will begin a series of on sexual sin to expose the enemy that the Church has been sleeping with. You will learn how we have become bedfellows with demons through sexual immorality. Scripture will be our guide, as we delve into God's word to find out what God has to say about sexual sin. The title of this series is Sleeping With the Enemy. I pray that your will seek the Lord to embrace this truth and teaching, so that you may be set free by the power of God.

Our first lession will be about fornication. What is fornication? Fornication is sexual intercourse outside of marriage; yet, fornication is the leading sexual sin in the Church today. It is prevelant amongst young people, but not at all limited to any certain age group. Many young people first engage in fornication, when they begin dating. By the world's standards, it's OK. When a girl and boy start "going out", it is considered only natural that they will have sexual relations. Teenagers who profess having a girlfriend or boyfriend, especially for a long period of time, generally engage in sex, yet no one talks about this or makes mentions of it. Instead everyone turns a blind eye. So today I say, let's talk about sex.

The Apostle Paul wrote in First Thessalonians 4:3, "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye abstain from fornication." Paul was only reiterating what God had already said. Christians are not supposed to fornicate. God said, we are to "Be ye Holy, for I am Holy." (I Peter 1:16) Many have rebelled against God's word by casting of all restraint to do what society declares is just "normal" because it makes people feel good. God's word adamantly says, "Flee fornication." (I Cor. 6:18a)

God is not somw big, mean ogre who's trying to keep us from having any fun; He's our loving Father who's trying to protect us. Paul went on to say, "Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but whoever commits fornication, sins against his own body." (I Cor. 6:18b) When a Christian engages in fornication, he/she sins "in" his body, but against his body. No one in their right mind would knowingly do such a thing. Yet people do it all the time. Paul said we also should not even keep company with fornicators. (I Cor. 5:9)

The world does what the world does, but Christians must not be or do as the world because we have been redeemed by the precious Blood of the Lamb. "We are in the world, but not of the world." (John 15:19) Our God is Holy, and if we are truly the children of God, we must bear resemblence to Him, having His mindset and attributes. Christians must live holy and set apart lives for God. We were created to bring God glory in every area of our lives. Fornication dishonors both God and our bodies. By the power of the Holy Spirit, let us pray that we may "abstain from fornication." Blessed be the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
